Killarpool (East-West) office of the Power Department (DPDC)
A robbery has taken place at the Killarpool (East-West) office of the Power Department (DPDC) in Narayanganj.
District Superintendent of Police (SP) Pratyush Kumar Majumdar and top law enforcement officials visited the power office on Monday (December 2) morning.
The robbery took place the night before. A group of about 16-17 robbers came in a truck, tied up the security guards and linemen, and looted the transmitter. The robbers also looted the cash and mobile phones of the security personnel.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Narayanganj Sadar Model Police Station (OC) Nasir said, "We are at the spot. Investigation and questioning of various people are underway. In the meantime, we will investigate after looking at the CCTV footage. An old transmitter has been taken here. No one was injured."
