Autorickshaw drivers have protested by gathering autorickshaws in front of the City Corporation and blocking the road, demanding free entry into Narayanganj city.
The protest was held in front of the Nagar Bhaban of the Narayanganj City Corporation on Sunday (March 9).
At this time, the autorickshaw drivers stopped traffic on the road by randomly leaving autorickshaws on the road. They blocked the road and protested in front of the Nagar Bhaban gate.
At this time, they demanded that all autorickshaws be allowed to enter the main city without hindrance. They also protested against the fines imposed on autorickshaw drivers by the police and the City Corporation.
Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Nasir Uddin said, we have received information in this regard. The police are heading towards the spot.
Narayanganj City Corporation Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Zakir Hossain said, "We are talking to them."
