Israt-Rubaiya
Israt Jahan Eti and Rubaiya Akhter have become the new presidents of Bangamata Fazilatunnesa Debating Club (BFDC), one of the controversial organizations of Dhaka University. That committee has been formed for the year 2021-22.
Israt Jahan Eti is a fourth year student of Islamic Studies Department of Dhaka University and Rubaiya Akhter is a fourth year student of Persian Language and Literature Department.
On Thursday (November 18) through a notification, the main patron of the club and the provost of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall, Prof. Dr. Zakia Parveen and club moderator Jemini Zabed Suchona have approved the new committee.
In addition to the president and general secretary, the organization has Sinthia Yasmin as vice-president, Syeda Munia Islam and Fatema Tuz Johra Eli as joint general secretaries and Jannatul Tazreen Nipa as organizational secretary.
Besides, Nusrat Jahan Runa has been appointed as the office secretary, Sumaiya Seema as the finance secretary, Rahnuma Tabassum Rafi as the publicity secretary, Nadia Momen as the liaison secretary and five others have been made executive members. They are Jarin Saba Roza, Iffat Ara Ilma, Sangeeta Vaidya, Zainab Khatun and Liza Akter.
In this regard, the new president of the organization Israt Jahan Eti said, it is a great honour to be given responsibility as well as responsibility. I look forward to working with all of my committee members to take BFDC further and hopefully be able to come up with some of the best controversial gifts in the future.
General Secretary Rubaiya Akhter said, Apart from fulfilling the responsibilities given to me by BFDC, I will try my best to reshape BFDC with new controversies."
