The robbery took place at the house of former UP member Mohammad Ali and his brother Zainal at Teguriapara in Uchitpura Union on Wednesday (November ? night. The robbers looted gold ornaments along with cash.
According to local residents, a group of 10/15 robbers broke the door of former UP member Mohammad Ali's house and entered the house. The robbers tied up the owner of the house Mohammad Ali and threatened him with native weapons and took cash, gold and silver from his house. Later, the robbers entered the house of brother Zainal and looted cash and gold.
The householders said that all the members of the robbery team were wearing half pants, lungi and genji and black masks. They had with them the native weapons of knife and ram da teta.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Araihazar Police Station Ahsan Ullah said that the police have been sent after receiving the information.
