Like, love, gratitude, laughter, tears, sadness and anger — all kinds of emojis can be used to express your emotions. Sometimes using an emoji becomes more important than words. So, Facebook enriched the emoji a little more.
The World Emoji Day is being observed today. Jeremy Berg, the founder of Emojipedia, introduced the day in 2014. On this occasion, Facebook has introduced ‘sound emoji’ or emoji with sound effects on Facebook Messenger. The sound can be heard along with the emoji. It’s called “Talking Emoji”.
Sound Emojis can have a variety of sounds. For example, it could be a compliment, a scary smile, or an audio snippet from your favorite artists, such as Rebecca Black’s picture on a TV show, as well as Universal Television, Netflix, or Soundlands Bridgerton’s NBC and Brooklyn Nine-Nine, respectively.
“We are bringing the whole Soundmoji library for you. From there you can choose. Which will continue to be updated as per the new sound effects. There will also be all the famous sounds. Each sound will be represented by an emoji,” Facebook said regarding the sound emoji.
Emoji began to be used in the 1990s. Emoji is a Japanese word meaning ‘picture word’. Sound added with pictures – the emojis are now looking quite appropriate!
